“What do you think is the most valuable thing you might have in your life, that you really don’t pay attention to, especially when you’re young, because you just feel you have an abundance of it? It’s never ending…….… Time.” – Sylvester Stallone
.
The reason why people keep saying, “the trouble is you think you have time”, is because when we’re younger, time seems to move so slowly. But as we age, it speeds up faster and faster. You gain this new perspective as you grow older. You reach new and deeper understandings about how time works and why you absolutely need to treat it like the precious resource it is, and manage it the right way.
.
When I look at the “insights” and the “demographics” of the people who view my page, it seems to be a younger audience that mostly view it. This is great, I am pleased I can still reach you all……. But I am aware that some of the comments I receive are from younger people who see karate, or the martial arts in general, as something I once did……. Basically sport, competition or tournament oriented. Fighting, and karate in general, is all about winning, being the best, the strongest (personally or their karate style)…… And this point is argued without compromise.
.
As time moves on and we get older, less flexible and less mobile, our karate changes. As it should….. But of course the younger generation doesn’t view it like this……. NOW, is the moment for them…… and this too is as it should be.
.
So there is no point in wondering what if. There is no point in pondering what could’ve been. There is no point in believing in what should’ve been. There is only the way things actually are….. NOW….. The rest is all made up in your mind.

“You think it’ll last forever, people and cars and concrete, but it won’t. One day it’s all gone. Even the sky.” – Christopher Eccleston Dr. Who
.
Time does not care about anything but moving forward, what you do with your time is solely up to you, so make the best of it by being the best YOU possible.
.
Don’t waste your most valuable asset…… Time.
