Eliminate in your opponent the desire to keep fighting.

“The ultimate goal in a battle it is to eliminate in your opponent the desire to keep fighting.”
.
Your best defense is to use your brain. What really gets injured if someone insults you? Your pride, your ego? If you let it get to you so much that you want to throw down the gauntlet, you have already lost. You have lost your own self respect.
.
By letting people get to you by words you don’t like, means your ego is getting the better of you. It is a sign of a lack of confidence when people can rile you to the point of wanting to physically fight.
.
It is in human nature to want to fight. However, every fight comes with consequences. Think before you start any fight. Don’t just fight out of anger.
.
You brain is still your best defensive weapon against any potential threat. Be aware, plan ahead. Awareness and avoidance is your best self-defense strategy.
.
But remember…. “Never hit if you can help it, but when you have to, hit hard…..” ~ Theodore Roosevelt
.
“To explain the essence of martial arts. I would say that even if you get hit, in the end, you can still defeat the opponent.”
