Imagine the fear. You have been training in your dojo for a few years, but a weird feeling is slowly creeping up on you, giving you that uncomfortable sensation in the pit of your stomach.
.
You gradually start noticing things. You start seeing stuff in a new light, and day by day you realize that perhaps your sensei isn’t the master you once thought he was.
.
There is a problem in the martial arts when some people become delusional about their abilities. The fake black belts and the McDojo ‘sensei’.
.
Some instructors can get caught up in their own self-belief. Those who boast, brag, and have huge Ego’s from the McDojo’s, mislead their students, coercing them into believing they are something they are not. Some of them manipulate and deceive their students to fight their ‘on-line’ battles for them……They should not be teaching. They are fake.
.
The fake sensei uses his bravado to open a school, to be top dog, a fraudulent way to take people’s money. It’s a con. It’s deceitful. The poor quality instruction that is the mark of the ‘McDojo’, is terrible, irresponsible, appalling and quite frankly, dangerous.
.
Students are being deceived, on so many levels, which is really very, very sad. Because they don’t know any better.
.
There is something very criminal about someone making money off the aspirations of others. People like this have no business leading others. Many of the students follow their lead and many of the younger students probably look up to them.
.
By the time students understand that they’re in a fraudulent school it can be hard to leave because of loyalty and friendships they’ve made. These fakers are robbing people of their potential to protect themselves. It’s criminal and it’s dangerous. ??
