Becoming a shodan or higher black-belt in karate will be a dream come true for some of you. In order to do this, you must have discipline and a great deal of commitment. The black-belt itself means nothing if you have not devoted yourself to the art in which you have earned it. There are no shortcuts to a black-belt or beyond. You must be willing to put in the work, the discipline, the dedication and the years to attain it.

“Watch out for people who are always bragging about who they are. A lion will never have to tell you it’s a lion.” …. I have known a lot of dangerous people. They all have one thing in common. They never had to say that they were dangerous.
.
So are you qualified to teach?
.
If you haven’t earned a black-belt from a qualified instructor, you haven’t been guided through the process, so you won’t have a clue as to what it really takes to guide others to black-belt (no matter how many books you’ve read or how much you’ve ‘studied’ with the Youtube sensei)…. So, like it or not, YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO TEACH OTHERS……. PERIOD.
.
It is really that simple. If you haven’t earned one, you aren’t one; and if you aren’t one, you are not qualified to make one. It’s called ‘having standards.’
